Street Rainwater Harvesting

We all know Rainwater harvesting has become mandatory in Tamil Nadu in each and every house. But our method of Rainwater harvesting in streets is somewhat unique. Previously, Rain water were drained into the local ponds, lakes etc. through rain water drain along with the drainage channels . But this water collected in the water bodies is not much pure as they flow along with all the dust and dirt into the water bodies.

But nowadays all the water bodies are mostly being depleted by pollution and construction means. Also the rain water are not penetrating into the ground due to concrete roads and directly flows into drain towards sea as a waste. So, we thought of an alternative method to conserve this rainwater without polluting it.
